Nissan R35 GTR Detail
This detail took around 28 hours to complete
The process started off with a thorough wash using snow foam, lambswool wash mitts and the 2 bucket method.
After this the vehicle was fully decontaminated using tar remover and a special solution to remove bonded metal contaminants. The car was then fully claybarred to remove organic bonded contaminants like tree sap.
After all these had been safely removed it was time to fully asses the paint for defects and paint depth. The paint on these vehicles is extremey soft and thin so I had to exersise extreme caution so as not to inflict more damage.
You will see from the pictures that the vehicle was generaly in good condition but did have some evidence of defects in the way of swirl marks.
After several tests of different polish and pad combinations it was determined that a very high quality finishing polish and pad would be enough to remove the defects and restore gloss and produce the "flake pop" that detailing brings out.
After the intensive machine polishing had taken place the vehicle was then treated to a Swissvax wax to give protection from the elements and the general driving conditions that she would experience (this vehicle is no garage queen and is regualarly driven hard)
I will let the pictures do the rest so sit back with your favourite tipple and enjoy!
