(roller washes and garage forecourt washing will reduce the life of any wax applied to detailed paint and induce the same swirl marks and scratches you will have paid for to be removed).
If you have ever washed your vehicle in a roller wash or at the local jet wash in garage forecourts, you will be damaging it regardless.
This is because the brushes they use (regardless of how they are advertised) will be contaminated with many thousands of dirt particles left from other vehicles.
These particles will stay in the brushes and deposit over your car when washed, like the dirt it takes off your car will be left in the brushes for the next and so on.
This results in un-maintained brushes being left on the floor and washing any number of vehicles containing mud, stones and traffic film all scratching, swirling, marring and generally sanding your paintwork till it becomes dull and lifeless.
Then you have the harsh weather conditions here which will deposit salt from the air, dust from farms and then bake in the sun or be rained upon.
With such a dramatic effect on vehicles paint from auto washes and weather this will have adverse affects on any surface.
Hence the need for Paint correction and Detailing.
As with any detailing service your vehicles paint will be thoroughly cleaned first of all.
Any tar spots will be removed, a solution applied to remove industrial fall out (small metal particles that embed in the paint and rust!) and then claybarred (an abrasive poly clay designed specifically for automobile paintwork cleaning and detailing) to remove organic bonded contaminants like tree sap.
All these steps will ensure that the paintwork is as clean and smooth as possible prior to enhancing and correcting.
These vital steps are often overlooked with body shops and other company's offering machine polishing.
Please don't confuse detailing with bodyshop machine polishing and the like. Yes, as a detailer, I use a machine to polish paint but the cleaning and decontaminating steps are vital to the process. Clean paint means that no contaminants can be picked up by the polishing pad and then spun at up to 1800rpm all over your paint.
Below is an example of how swirl marks are easily visible in the sun.
On a poorly machine polished car you will see lines extending from the sun in outwards patterns like where a polisher has moved up and down etc then this a called hollograming.

The example below is damage caused from roller washes.
All the above examples can be corrected and permanently removed.
This is not an afternoon job and takes time, skill and knowledge to achieve correctly.
It is worth noting that detailing will not remove the swirl marks and defects. It is the process of the polish and pad combination coupled with skill that will remove the paint surrounding the defects to give a level finish with flawless results.
This service cannot be achieved for £60.
There will always be a cheaper machine polishing service available but I can assure you the results wont be the same.
To acheive these true levels of expert paint work correction to the highest of standards, I will not compromise on quality with products and I am meticulous about attention to detail.
This is not a cheap service and the prices I charge reflect the quality craftsmanship that goes into the art of detailing.
If you were to get a door resprayed then you would pay at least £100 for this type service and for a whole vehicle then I would expect £1000's
I am offering an entire vehicle to be polished and looking exceptionally good with little to no defects and protected from the elements for a fraction of the price it would cost to have a vehicle resprayed.
